The goal of the 5G-RANGE project is to design, develop, implement and validate the mechanisms to enable the 5G network to provide an economically effective solution for Internet access for remote areas
Technological Challenges
New cognitive layer to enable access without compromising incumbent access, compliant cognitive Medium Access Control layer using a dynamic spectrum allocation approach and physical layer to reduce out-of-band emissions, allowing for spectrum agility, fragmented spectrum allocation and low interference
5G-RANGE PoC
The solutions will be integrated into a Proof-of-Concept testbed to allow for field performance evaluation and real case demonstrations
